Kevin specialises in international trade and maritime law, with a focus on charterparty, carriage of goods, admiralty, and commodities disputes.
Kevin is qualified to practice law in Singapore and is an Accredited Specialist in Maritime and Shipping Law appointed by the Singapore Academy of Law. He advises on maritime disputes and represents clients in Singapore Court proceedings, institutional arbitrations (ICC /SIAC/HKIAC) and adhoc arbitrations (SCMA Rules, LMAA terms).
The issues that Kevin advises on include shipping delays resulting from COVID-19, demurrage, detention, sanctions on oil shipments, responsibility for port congestion, cargo contamination, breakdown of hull and machinery, shipment of dangerous goods under the IMDG code, emission control methods, and implementation of counter-measures against piracy and hijacking. He is experienced in dealing with disputes relating to the financial distress of players in the trade, shipping and offshore industry.
Additionally, Kevin advises on international trade disputes including off-specification and shortfall claims, price adjustments, goods rejection, delayed shipment, and non-conforming letters of credit.
Kevin also has a particular interest in digital transformation of the shipping industry.

Jeremy is a Legal Director at Clasis LLC, Singapore. Jeremy represents and advises clients in infrastructure, engineering, and construction related disputes which arise from projects in Singapore and around the region.
He has represented developers, contractors, and construction professionals in international arbitrations under the SIAC, VIAC, ICC as well as ad-hoc rules, at all levels of the Singapore Courts, adjudications under the Building and Construction Security of Payment Act, and at mediations.
Jeremy also has experience representing and advising clients in a diverse range of matters. These include advising on schemes of arrangement, shareholder disputes, directors’ duties, liability for personal injury, and on criminal liability.

Kevin is a Senior Associate at Clasis LLC, Singapore. Kevin is an International Arbitration Associate dual-qualified to practice in both Singapore and England & Wales.
Kevin’s practice experience is in dispute resolution, with a particular focus on international arbitration and commercial litigation over a range of industries including hospitality & leisure, building & construction, and international trade. These disputes are often of a complex and multi-disciplinary nature, dealing with both procedural issues such as jurisdictional challenges, preliminary injunctive actions and expedited/bifurcated procedures, as well as substantive issues in law such as breach of contract, misrepresentation, fraud, negligence, and claims in equity relying on sophisticated trust instruments.

Calvin is a Senior Associate with extensive experience in property and energy insurance claims, supported by his previous industry experience leading the regional construction claims team at a leading global insurance broker and his dispute resolution experience in construction disputes. Calvin advises clients on complex policy coverage and quantum issues, and regularly acts for [re]insurers across Asia Pacific in negotiations, mediation, arbitration, and commercial litigation (including subrogated recoveries), providing strategic and commercially astute legal advice.
Calvin has represented high-profile parties in high-value and complex insurance claims internationally, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, South Korea, Hong Kong, China, Middle East, and South America. Calvin has successfully led insurance claims negotiations across a range of sectors, including conventional / renewable power, upstream / midstream / downstream energy, and public / private sector construction projects.
Calvin is a Singapore-qualified lawyer. As part of his industry experience, Calvin also holds a Certificate of General Insurance and a Diploma in General Insurance and Risk Management from the Singapore College of Insurance.

Dawn is a Senior Associate at Clasis LLC, Singapore. She is experienced in a wide variety of civil and commercial disputes with a focus on maritime, international trade and commodities related disputes.
Dawn has experience handling complex civil and commercial dispute matters, both in court and in arbitration proceedings. She has appeared before the Singapore High Court and the Singapore Court of Appeal as well as before the SIAC on multiple occasions. Aside from contentious disputes work, Dawn also has experience in non-contentious matters such as reviewing and advising on ship financing / ship sale and purchase agreements.
Since 2018, Dawn regularly volunteers her time with the Law Society of Singapore’s Criminal Legal Aid Scheme and Ad Hoc Pro Bono Services as well as at Community Legal Clinics.
Dawn is proficient in both English and Mandarin.

Marcus is a member of the non-marine insurance practice in the Singapore office, focusing on contentious and non-contentious liability insurance matters.
Marcus advises and acts for insurers on coverage issues and disputes for a range of policy classes, including D&O, PI, investment management, commercial general liability and credit / political risk. Marcus also reviews and drafts policy wording for various classes of liability policies.
Marcus acts as monitoring counsel / instructing solicitor for cases involving the defence of insureds against claims by third parties, as well as, for subrogated recovery claims. Before joining the non-marine insurance practice in the Singapore office, Marcus had more than 15 years’ experience as a litigator involved in complex commercial claims in the courts and in arbitration proceedings.

Jin Ziwei is an Associate in the projects and construction team at Clasis LLC. She has advised and acted for contractors and subcontractors in a range of construction-related disputes, including international and domestic arbitrations under SIAC and ad hoc rules. Her experience also includes representing clients in adjudications under Singapore’s Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act and in mediations.
Ziwei has been an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore since 2021.

Levin is an Associate in the Marine and International Trade team at Clasis LLC. Called to the Singapore bar in 2021, Levin specialises in dispute resolution with particular experience in international trade and commodities, shipping and commercial disputes.
Levin regularly acts for international traders and shipowners in complex and contentious matters involving misdelivery claims, charterparty disputes and trade finance arrangements. She has represented clients in proceedings before the Singapore High Court and Singapore Court of Appeal, as well as in arbitrations under various institutional rules, including the SIAC, SCMA, ICC and LMAA. She is also familiar with mediation as a strategic tool for dispute resolution, having advised clients in mediations administered by the SIMC and SMC.

Michelle is an Associate in the Global Regulatory and Investigations Group. Her practice focuses on corporate investigations, regulatory compliance, white-collar crime issues and commercial disputes.
Michelle provides strategic counsel to clients on managing internal and government investigations into white-collar offences such as corruption, fraud, money laundering, and employee misconduct. Xi Ying is an Associate of the Marine and International Trade team in the Singapore office.
Xi Ying is an Associate of the Marine and International Trade team in the Singapore office, and regularly advises clients on disputes arising out of charterparties, contracts of carriage, facility agreements and contracts for the sale and purchase of a wide range of commodities.
Xi Ying has represented shipowners, cargo owners, insurers and financiers on both contentious and non-contentious matters. For contentious matters, she has represented clients in various complex disputes stretching from Singapore court proceedings to arbitrations administered by institutions such as SIAC, LMAA and HKIAC. Her non-contentious experience includes drafting and reviewing sale and purchase agreements for commodities and shares of vessel-owning companies. Xi Ying regularly volunteers with the Law Society Pro Bono Services and has represented numerous applicants of the Criminal Legal Aid Scheme.

Monique is an Associate with the firm’s Projects and Construction Group in Singapore, specialising in disputes arising from energy projects, infrastructure and construction.
Monique specialises in disputes arising from energy projects, infrastructure and construction, bolstered by her background in commodities, trade finance and other commercial disputes.
She has particular expertise in international arbitrations under the SIAC, ICC, KCAB and BAC Rules, and has appeared as counsel at all levels of the Singapore Courts, including the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC) and the Court of Appeal. Her multi-disciplinary approach and cross-border experience allow her to deliver advice that is both commercially grounded and culturally attuned as she supports clients from early strategic risk management through to advocacy and enforcement.
